Why pilots come here in winter

While Europe is grey, Morocco keeps flying. That is the main reason European pilots book their winter trips here, and the reason a first flight is possible almost any week of the year.

For a passenger, it means you rarely have to give up your flight. If one day is not good, the next one usually is.

The main flying areas

Four regions cover most of the paragliding done in the country:

Aguergour and the Marrakech Atlas: ridge flying above a lake, 45 minutes from the city. This is where we fly.
Agadir and Aglou on the Atlantic coast: soft sea breeze, flying above cliffs and beaches.
Legzira and the south west: big cliffs over the ocean, popular in winter.
The desert side, around Ouarzazate and Zagora: dry thermals and very long views.

Seasons, in plain words

In the mountains, spring and autumn are the easiest. Summer works early and late in the day. Winter gives the clearest air and the best photos, with snow behind you.

On the coast, the sea breeze makes summer pleasant, while winter can bring stronger systems from the Atlantic.

What it costs

A discovery tandem flight in Morocco usually costs between 600 and 1,200 MAD, depending on the site and how long you stay in the air. With us, a flight starts at 600 MAD, and photos and video are an option.
